CSA 2017

Dear Parish Family,

“We are a family rich in good works!” This is the Catholic Services Appeal (CSA) theme that we as a vibrant faith community in the Diocese of Gaylord will embrace in the 2017/2018 campaign year. We, as brothers and sisters in Christ, have been made alive in Him. We are filled with God, which means we are filled with good - and good works flow from us to light the path for others. This theme will remind us to live the Beatitudes and celebrate the grace of God’s presence within us always. Each year the Catholic Services Appeal helps financially support the seat of our diocese, the chancery in Gaylord; providing resources that make it possible for our clergy and lay leaders to organize, facilitate, and put forth efforts that nurture God’s grace and bring about good works.

The May issue of FAITH Along Michigan’s 45th Parallel includes information on the charities and ministries that are supported by your pledge to the CSA. You will also receive a letter in your mailbox this week from our parish CSA committee with a pledge form. Learn more about this year's campaign here on our website.

We urge you to prayerfully consider your decision, and then to fill out the pledge card you received in the mail and return to St. Joseph parish. You may also donate online to CSA and designate St. Joseph #77. Please consider a pledge plan, if possible, and spread your payments over several months by choosing the convenient electronic method of pledge fulfillment. Parish representatives will be available after Masses for the next two weekends to answer your questions and receive pledges.

We encourage everyone to give as you are able, and are most thankful for your continued support. May God richly bless you for your generosity!

In the Peace of Christ,

Fr. James Bearss, Pastor

Mr. David Mann, Finance Council President

Mr. Jason Piedmonte, CSA Campaign Chair

Mr. John Thorne, Finance Council CSA Leader
